Meet the Team: Jennie Harney
Welcome to Reggora’s Meet the Team series! Reggora is powered by a team of smart, hard working people dedicated to the mission of appraisal innovation, and we’ve all taken very different paths to get here. In this series, we’ll introduce you to different members of the Reggora family.
This week features Jennie Harney, who joined Reggora in March of 2020 as a Product Manager and was recently promoted to Group Product Manager. Jennie was recently awarded a “Reggie” (Reggora’s version of a Dundie, except not everybody wins) for her embodiment of Reggora’s value: Innovate with Agility. Congratulations on both of these recent accomplishments, Jennie!
Jennie Harney: Group Product Manager
Q: Tell us about yourself. Where did you grow up? Go to school? What do you enjoy doing?
A: I grew up in Cambridge, MA and attended Wake Forest University for college. I’m a marathon runner and traveler, so I love pairing a race with a new destination. My last race was planned in March 2020 in the Canary Islands and was unfortunately canceled due to Covid. Hoping for races to make a comeback later this year! I also have a large family, so outside of appraisals and running, I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my nieces and nephews.
Q: Where did you work before Reggora?
A: Prior to Reggora, I worked at SessionM, a customer engagement and loyalty platform, where I was a Product Manager for our customer data platform and advanced segmentation tool. I was also product lead for a project with a Forbes Global 2000 company during my tenure, which was in a new vertical for the company at the time, and had the opportunity to work with stakeholders and developers across the world.
Q: Why did you join the Reggora team?
A: My previous company was acquired in late 2019, and I knew I wanted to get back to a much smaller startup, particularly in the fintech space. I was also in the process of buying/selling my home, so I experienced first hand some of the pains and inefficiencies of the process and saw the opportunity for technology to improve the overall experience. I was connected with Reggora, and was very excited about the vision of the company. After meeting with the team, it was a no brainer decision!
Q: What do you do here at Reggora?
A: I am a Group Product Manager for our Lender product. One of the things I love about my role is that no two days are the same. I am responsible for ensuring that we are delivering the best possible product to lenders. We use feedback from our lenders alongside data and market trends to build our roadmap in line with our ultimate company vision of two-day appraisals. A large part of my role also includes ensuring my team has what they need to be successful and working with our stakeholders to ensure there is alignment among the various teams.
Q: Do you have a favorite moment or milestone at Reggora so far?
A: I’m always very excited and proud of my team when we launch new features and integrations that further streamline and automate lender workflows. One feature I worked on over the summer, pipeline views, was a key feature that addressed a number of pain points and manual tasks our lenders experienced. I was proud to roll that feature out and get immediate positive feedback from our lenders on the ways this feature set provided immediate value to their team.
Q: How is Reggora different now than when you started?
A: I joined Reggora the day Boston fully closed down due to Covid, so I was the first remote onboard during that time. Like everyone, we were figuring out how to work together, apart. We’ve since onboarded 50+ people remotely, and the onboarding program and curriculum is now quite extensive. It is awesome to hear when new team members tell me the onboarding experience is thorough, very organized, and to see how they are ready to hit the ground running.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job or best part of being on the Reggora team?
A: My favorite part of my role is the team here at Reggora. We work with remarkably talented and driven individuals that are always willing to go the extra mile to help one another out. Not only are we laser focused on modernizing appraisals, but we have a lot of fun doing it.
