In this series, we’ll introduce you to different members of the Reggora family. This week features Dan English, who joined Reggora in November of 2020 as our Product Enablement Manager to help our ever growing team learn the ins and outs of our platform.
Dan English: Product Enablement Manager
Q: Tell us about yourself. Where did you grow up? Go to school? What do you enjoy doing? (Bonus points for fun facts)
A: I grew up in Scituate, MA and graduated from Georgetown University as a finance major in 2010. After Georgetown, I commissioned into the Marine Corps and served as a Logistics Officer for the past ten years across the U.S. and the world. I enjoy keeping up with current events, traveling, boating, and skiing. Fun facts: I’m a license plate collector/enthusiast and I’ve traveled to 31 countries!
Q: What did you do before working at Reggora?
A: Before joining Reggora, I served as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine I served in Japan, the Philippines, California, Afghanistan, Virginia, and New York. My favorite part of being a Marine was having the privilege to work alongside people from every background imaginable, and working together to solve complex problems that ranged from humanitarian assistance after a typhoon in the Southern Philippines, to providing logistics to coalition forces in Afghanistan.
Q: Why did you join the Reggora team?
A: I joined Reggora because I’ve always had a fascination with the real estate industry. I’m also a big believer in the power of technology, specifically technology startups, to make change and improve how the world functions. Reggora represented a unique opportunity to combine those two interests and make an impact on an industry primed for technological innovation.
Q: What do you do here at Reggora?
A: As the Product Enablement Manager, it’s my responsibility to ensure that all of our Reggora employees are experts in both the industry and our product. I spent the majority of my career in the Marine Corps developing and implementing training programs and I’m excited to have the opportunity to do the same here at Reggora, while helping the company scale and achieve great results with our customers.
Q: What is something that has surprised you since joining the team?
A: I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how humble and down-to-earth everyone is at Reggora, despite their impressive backgrounds and capabilities. Especially on the Product Team, everyone is easy to work with, dedicated to the vision of two-day appraisals, and willing to roll their sleeves up to make change.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job or best part of being on the Reggora team?
A: I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to interact with both Reggora employees and our customers on a daily basis. Having first hand appreciation for our customers’ businesses, procedures, and pain points allows me to develop and deliver the most impactful training possible to the Reggora team. I learn something new and fascinating every day and enjoy the opportunity to spread that knowledge.
